The Civil Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2011 came in to force on 6th April 2011 to implement The EU Mediation Directive 2008/52/EC into the laws of England and Wales:

Position regarding Mediation Law and Practice in the EU

I surveyed my fellow members of the overseas lawyers grouping, Libralex, on the current state of law and practice of Mediation in each of their countries, and where appropriate the implementation of the EU Mediation Directive 2008/52/EC into their national law.

The results of each lawyer’s response to my survey have been collated in this publication.
